I am so thrilled with the support and guidance I get from the Gifted Travel Network and its Travel MBA program in particular. I was new to the travel industry two years and feel so fortunate to have been referred to GTN by another travel professional. At first I wasn’t sure if I needed to sign up for the Travel MBA program because I thought I would get access to the industry through GTN and figure things out on my own. It took about 2 months for me to realize that this approach was not going to work! Booking travel as a new agent can be so confusing, nuanced, overwhelming, and detail-dependent and the options seemed endless for each request I received. In addition, I did not have the foundations set up for my business in order to be successful. I needed education, focus and support and I found that through the Travel MBA program.

Through the program, I have learned (by doing) the nuts and bolts of booking travel and lots of supplier information but more importantly, they teach us how to have a thriving travel business, not just a travel hobby. There is constant emphasis on marketing principals, client attraction, building, growing and maintaining your client lists and how to make sure everything you do is in line with your goals. This has really gotten me started on the right track. The travel MBA modules are very helpful, the online resources and webinars virtually endless, and the program mentor is invaluable—-she is available to help with questions big and small and brings years of experience that she is happy to share. And then there is the entire GTN community that is always supportive and willing to help answer any questions through the Facebook group. I honestly cannot imagine where I would be right now if I had not done the Travel MBA program and joined the Gifted Travel Network.
